Simon WeatherallEX ROYAL MARINE COMMANDO
Simon Weatherall was a Royal Marine Commando who saw action in Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland and the Iraq invasion. He has worked as a Reconnaissance Leader, run 30-mile commando tests across Dartmoor, trained professional boxers as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and worked as a Personal Trainer. He recently featured on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den and launched a fitness clothing range in Harrods. He is now involved in a business accelerator company and works as Digital Marketing Manager for the Royal Navy. Simon is the founder of Intrepid, and he says that this is his most exciting adventure yet.
Rob PaxmanEX - SAS
Rob Paxman is an ex-SAS soldier who featured recently on Channel 5’s ‘Secrets of the SAS’. He is Founder and Chief of Talking 2 Minds, a charity that supports those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other serious stress-related illnesses. Talking 2 Minds operates a unique non-medical approach, which has so far proved extremely successful in treating PTSD sufferers; unlike most treatments, it does not require traumatic memories to be revisited. Rob was inspired to help those with PTSD following his own difficult post-military experiences, and has transformed – and potentially saved – the lives of many people since founding Talking 2 Minds in 2008.
Colin Maclachlan was involved in some of the most daring and high profile SAS missions of recent years, and recently featured on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins and Channel 5’s Secrets of the SAS. Among other highly dangerous missions, he waded through swamps to hunt down the West Side Boys gang in Sierra Leone and narrowly avoided execution after being captured in Iraq. Colin now works as a Risk Management Consultant, does a lot of charity work for the Lee Rigby Foundation and Pilgrim Bandits, and has set up his own charity – Who Dares Cares.
Rob Edmond also served in the SAS and is now one of the UK’s top personal trainers. He has made numerous television appearances including ITV’s “The Biggest Loser” and has trained a vast range of people, from top athletes to celebrities to royalty. One of his clients broke the record for the heaviest deadlift in human history, and another achieved the highest weight loss percentage ever on The Biggest Loser – 40.3%. Rob leads Urban Attack, a pioneering company in the obstacle race industry which created the largest indoor obstacle course out there. Urban Attack offers a range of highly unique races and adventure events in several exciting and exclusive locations.
